Privacy

The site is served from a content delivery network (Amazon CloudFront) with a web application firewall in front of it. To deliver a page and to block abusive traffic, that infrastructure processes standard request data: your IP address, the URL you asked for, your browser's user agent, and the time of the request. This is handled by Amazon Web Services as our processor, on the legal basis of our legitimate interest in serving and protecting the site. We don't build profiles from it and we don't combine it with anything else.

The Contact page embeds a map from OpenStreetMap. When that map loads, your browser makes a request directly to openstreetmap.org, which sees your IP address and applies its own privacy policy. No other third-party content is embedded anywhere on this site.

There are no forms on this site, so the only way you share anything with us is by writing to hello@bakenlabs.com. Your address and the contents of your message land in our mailbox, hosted on Google Workspace, and we keep them to reply and to keep a record of the conversation. We don't add you to a mailing list, and we don't sell or share your details.

Under the GDPR you can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we process it. Write to hello@bakenlabs.com and we'll answer within a month. If you think we've handled your data badly, you can complain to the Belgian Data Protection Authority (Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit) in Brussels.
